Rockport Polioce/Fire: Rockport power lines hit in storm

ROCKPORT — Police said a main power line was downed around 8:30 a.m. Friday, causing about 65 National Grid customers to go without power.

National Grid continued to work on the issue throughout Friday.

Police received reports of electrical wires sparking around 11 p.m. on South Street, National Grid was notified.

A Bearskin Neck woman called police just before 5 a.m. on Friday to report her heat was turned off; police advised the woman to call her oil company.

Town offices and schools remained closed Friday due to the storm.
