An Essex Avenue resident told police at 11:21 p.m. Monday that her 35-year-old son was missing.

The woman told officers that her son, identified as Keith O’Connor, had been missing since Friday, and that he was last seen on Main Street wearing black pants, a plaid shirt, gray sweater-vest and red and white sneakers.

She added that he has brown hair and brown eyes, and indicated that she believes he might be in Beverly or Lynn.

Police have filed a missing persons report to the Massachusetts State Police database, and are investigating.

A Harvard Street resident called police at 6:49 p.m. Monday to report that her laptop was stolen.

She told police that a friend probably took it from her apartment between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. that day. Detectives are investigating.

Paramedics transported a 9-year-old boy from the West Parish School on Concord Street to Beverly Hospital after he had apparently broken his leg on the playground at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

A Maplewood Avenue resident called police at 5:11 p.m. on Monday and said that someone had taken her Soboxone prescription from her kitchen counter. She said she wanted to file a report for “insurance purposes,” but did not want an officer to come to her home and follow up.

Police responded to a Staten Street residence after a woman called at 7:41 p.m. on Sunday to report that three kids had thrown a lit piece of fireworks at her window. Police found one of the kids in a house nearby, but could not locate others.

A man called police at 7:08 p.m. on Sunday after his son reportedly ran from him at Cafe’ Dolce.

The man told police he was taking his son back to a group home when the son ran off toward St. Peter’s Square. Officers found the man’s son near Tally’s soon after and resolved the issue, according to the police report.
