AGH Rockport forum rescheduled for Monday

ROCKPORT — The second Cape Ann Community Forum on a community survey and the future of Addison Gilbert Hospital — postponed last week when Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester and Essex were all dealing with the winds of superstorm Sandy — has been rescheduled for Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center.

The forum, focusing on the future state of health care, payment reform and its impact on hospitals and health-care delivery systems, will be the second presented in the aftermath of a community survey that found that chronic diseases, especially diabetes, are a primary concern for Cape Ann’s health care consumers. That survey was initially outlined in a forum on Gloucester Oct. 8.

Presenters at Monday night’s Rockport forum will include Denis Conroy, vice president of systems integration for Lahey Health System, and Cindy Cafasso Donaldson, vice president and executive director for Addison Gilbert Hospital.

All residents are welcome to to attend this presentation, which will be followed by a question and answer session.
