Essex Police/Fire: Truck takes down Verizon line

ESSEX — Police said officers received a report of a tractor-trailer truck hitting and knocking down a low hanging cable wire on John Wise Avenue Monday at 10:59 a.m.

Police notified Verizon of the downed wire, and utility repaired the damage.

A Lufkin Point Lane woman was transported to an area hospital Monday about 9:14 a.m., according to police.
