Gloucester Police/Fire: Three rushed to hospitals after weekend crash

A driver and three passengers were taken to area hospitals early Saturday morning following a one-car crash in the 700 block of Washington Street — and the motorist is facing a charges.

According to police, a car driven by Salvatore Ciolino, 27, of Trask Street, slammed into a utility pole on Washington Street at 12:58 a.m.

Ciolino and his three passengers were transported to the hospital for their injuries — two to Addison Gilbert Hospital and two to Beverly Hospital.

Ciolino is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with an expired license and speeding.

Gloucester police Officer Marc Cecilio was involved in a car accident while driving a police cruiser on Mason Street at 2:38 p.m. Sunday.

Cecilio's cruiser and a green Ford Explorer collided while Cecilio was turning onto Prospect Street.

According to the police report, a witness stated that Cecilio had stopped at a stop sign and that the other car had hit him as he turned.

No one was injured, and the driver of the other car was issued a citation for driving an unregistered vehicle.

Police were summoned to the Action Inc. shelter on Main Street multiple times to deal with a 54-year-old homeless man.

According to police, the man was kicked out of the shelter, then let back in, then allegedly threatened other shelter occupants with a wooden sword and an airgun before being ordered to leave a second time.

Todd Lebel, 43, of Hull Street in Beverly, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Sunday on charges of trespassing at a former girlfriend's Dale Avenue home.

Lebel allegedly climbed onto the roof of the house after he was asked to leave by both the woman and the police. Police had been summoned earlier in the night, and had driven Lebel away from the home, but he returned, according to the incident report.

Trevor Wolfe, 34, of Elm Street, was arrested on two outstanding warrants at 8:16 a.m. Monday. The warrants are for trespassing and assault and battery, police said.

A Stoneham man reported that the tailpipe of his car was damaged while he parked at Jodrey State Fish Pier at 11:35 a.m. Friday. The emblem was pried off of his car, and police have no suspects.

A 16-year-old girl reported to police that a driver of an oil delivery truck followed her and a friend as they walked down Chestnut Street at 4 p.m. Friday.

According to the police report, the driver allegedly kept pace with the girl and her friend as they walked; the girl's mother wanted a report on record, police said.

A woman called police at 2:36 p.m. Sunday to report a 29-year-old city man as missing.

The woman said the man, identified as Steven Woodhouse, of Washington Square, has not been seen since Wednesday. Police are investigating.
