Rockport Police/Fire: Rockport man faces domestic charges

ROCKPORT — A local man is facing domestic assault and battery charges after police responded to a weekend domestic disturbance at 4 Seagull St.

Dennis Lovelace, 59, of that address was charged by Rockport police after the incident, which occurred Saturday around 9:30 p.m.

At noon last Friday, police responded to Highland Street on a report of downed cable wires.

At 4 p.m. last Friday, a Monroe Drive male was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital, while a female resident of Millbrook Park was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital Friday at 4:20.

Police responded to Bearskin Neck at 9:15 p.m. last Friday on report of a hit-and-run accident involving a parked car. There were no injuries.

Police responded to Green Street on a complaint of excessive noise Saturday at 2 a.m., while officers also responded to Granite Street at 10:15 a.m. Saturday on report of a loud verbal argument.

At 12:27 p.m. Saturday, a female was transported from Main Street to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Main Street, while at 8 p.m. Saturday, a Whale Cove man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

A female was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Halibut Point State Park at 2:20 p.m. Sunday.

At 7 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a woman yelling on Phillips Avenue.

At 10:58 a.m. Monday, a Pleasant Street man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.
