Rockport Police/Fire: Trash-tossing driver proves elusive

ROCKPORT — Police on Thursday morning responded to Nugent Stretch on a report that a woman driving a car with Connecticut license plates was seen throwing trash out of the window of her car.

Police, however, could not locate the vehicle.

At 5:20 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a medical emergency call on Smith Road and transported a female to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

At 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a Quarry Road residence after a fire alarm was activated. Responders determined the alarm was set off accidentally.

At 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, police also responded to a report that telephone lines were down on Main Street. Verizon was notified and sent a crew for repairs.
