Essex Police/Fire: Crews repair downed Eastern Ave. wires

ESSEX — Police responded to Eastern Avenue early Wednesday afternoon on a report that two wires were down in the street.

Officers notified the cable television and telephone companies, which sent out crews for repairs.

At 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a medical emergency call on Western Avenue and transported a male to a Boston hospital for treatment.

At 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, police served a restraining order at a residence on Winthrop Street.
