MANCHESTER— The Manchester Athletic Club has named Nan Gorton to strengthen its fitness program.
As fitness director, she will helm the business’s growing fitness division, which includes Manchester Athletic Club in Manchester, MAC Fitness in Rowley, and MAC Fitness in Gloucester.
Gorton has been a staple at Manchester Athletic Club for seven years as a fitness trainer and co-owner of Hilltop Training, a popular running program among members. Most recently, she launched North Shore Sports Performance Institute (NSSPI), which offers sports performance training to kids 10 to 18 years old. In addition to fitness, she is a lawyer and was an Olympic-caliber women’s ice hockey player.
“Nan brings a tremendous amount of energy, expertise and creativity to our members and, importantly, to our local community,” said Keith Callahan, general manager and managing partner. “With Nan’s leadership, we’re excited to launch new programs for our members and have already developed a unique program called Committee Get Fit that will be provided for club members as well as open to the community this fall.”
“I have always believed that great success comes from sharing a common goal and working together to make it happen,” added Gorton.”I am excited to get to work, getting the best out of everyone I work with both as a coach and a manager.”
