Gloucester District Court: Heroin crash driver gets fines, probation

Gloucester District Court

A 34-year-old Quincy man who crashed his car into a utility pole after ingesting a bag of heroin in February was ordered to pay fines in Gloucester District Court last week.

Judge Richard Mori ordered Sean R. Tomlinson to pay $600 fines and assessments, remain on probation until March 2015 and attend drug treatment and driving programs.

Tomlinson was also ordered to submit to random drug and alcohol screens and his driver’s license was revoked for 45 days. He pleaded guilty to the drugged driving charge and Mori found him responsible on that charge, but not responsible on a marked lanes violation.

Two teens who had faced charges after police saw them allegedly smoking marijuana in a moving car in March saw all of those charges dismissed in Gloucester District Court this week.

Judge Ellen Flatley dismissed charges of drugged driving, unlicensed driving and possessing liquor while younger than 21 against Thailo S. Oliveira, the 18-year-old Eastern Avenue man who was driving the vehicle.

Flatley dismissed charges of marijuana possession, a subsequent offense of marijuana possession and possessing liquor while younger than 21 against Jordan Allen, an 18-year-old Traverse Street man who was a passenger in the vehicle.

All charges were dismissed.

Judge Mori dismissed a charge of assault and battery against Kimberly Stewart, a 44-year-old Washington Street woman, upon failure to prosecute the charge in court.
