A Maine man was charged on an outstanding warrant Wednesday night after police responded to a call from Walgreen's pharmacy regarding an allegedly intoxicated man in the store.
According to police, officers responded at 9:29 p.m. and charged Robert Tisdale, 46, of Main Street in Buxton, Maine, after they found he had an outstanding warrant from Lawrence for motor vehicle issues.
Tisdale was initially brought to Addison Gilbert Hospital for treatment, then brought back to the police station under arrest.
At 9:09 p.m. Wednesday, a School Street man reported that he had been receiving threats from an acquaintance via Facebook. Police said they are looking into the case.
Police are looking into an apparent hit-and-run in which the driver of a car struck the fence on an Essex Avenue property, then left the area.
The owner of the property called police when she got home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and saw the damage, according to the police report. Officers said there are no suspects.
A Main Street man called police at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday to report that someone had smashed the rear window of his car while it was parked in the Rogers Street municipal lot.
The man told police he suspected that a man to whom he owned money was responsible. Police spoke to the second man, and no charges have been filed.
