Rockport Police/Fire:Canadian tourists relocated

ROCKPORT — Police spotted an illegally parked car on Seaview Street parking lot Friday around 1:30 a.m.

Police said two tourists from Quebec were sleeping in the vehicle; they were advised to go to a motel or inn.

A motorist was stopped on Broadway at 7:12 a.m. on Friday for defective equipment; police said the driver was given a verbal warning.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity when a motor vehicle was apparently left on Nugent Stretch Thursday just before 10:45 a.m. Officers said the car was gone when they arrived.

A female Broadway resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester Thursday just after 3 p.m., while a Sandy Bay Terrace female was transported to the Gloucester hospital Friday at 5:49 a.m.
