Rockport Police/Fire: King Street woman faces DUI charge

ROCKPORT — Police charged a King Street woman after she was initially stopped for driving with a defective tail light Saturday around 2:43 a.m. on South Street.

Kelsey Keough, 19, is facing a charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Friday just after 8:30 p.m., police said a small piece of a plastic fence caught fire on King Street. The Fire Department was dispatched, and spent roughly 10 minutes at the scene to extinguish the flames.

Saturday at 1:49 p.m., police received was a report of a car hitting the Kindred Den-Mar Nursing home.

Officers who responded, however, found there was no damage to the building, and that no accident had actually occurred.

Police reported a minor motor vehicle accident Saturday on Main Street at 3:30 p.m. in which where a woman allegedly backed into another vehicle.

Police said the two exchanged information; there were no charges filed.
