Ringing down the flu shot season

Ringing down the flu shot season

Have you been vaccinated yet against this year’s strain of flu?

The Manchester Board of Health hosted its last scheduled free flu shot clinic of the season at Town Hall Thursday, but the Gloucester Board of Health will still be participating in two more clinics in the coming days, Public Health Nurse Chassea Robinson said Thursday.

The city’s health department will join with the Massachusetts Fishing Partnership Tuesday for a pair of sessions aimed at the families of comercial fishermen, but others are also welcome, Robinson said. Those clinics will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Gloucester Marine Railway on Rocky Neck, and from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Jodrey State Fish Pier off Parker Street.

Then, city health officials will administer free flu shots on Satiurday, Dec. 8, at City Hall in conjunction with the annual Middle Street Walk. That session will run in Kyrouz Auditorium from 10 a.m to noon.
