Essex Police/Fire: Gloucester residents get a lift in Essex

ESSEX — Pedestrians were given a courtesy ride to the Gloucester line at 1:47 a.m. on Wednesday when police received a report of potential suspicious activity in the area of Eastern Avenue.

Police said the pedestrians had Gloucester addresses and were simply returning home.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a John Wise Avenue man was transported to Beverly Hospital.

Someone stopped into the police station Wednesday around 9:45 a.m. with a lost wallet; police have since notified the owner.
