Greg F. Winterbottom, 49, of no known address in New York City, was arrested Thursday night on charges of trespassing, drinking in public and disorderly conduct.
Winterbottom was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Thursday after police say he entered a Prospect Street apartment while highly intoxicated.
Police first dealt with Winterbottom at 5:25 p.m. after he could not pay a taxi fare on Main Street.
He was transported to the Action Inc. shelter but was not welcome there and left on foot, according to police reports. The apartment arrest came more than three hours later.
Christopher J. Danjou, 25, of 1 Maple St., Gloucester, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Thursday on charges of domestic assault and battery.
Danjou was arrested after police were called to his home on reports that he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend. No further information was available.
Incidents
Police were called to Fernwood Lake at 3:15 p.m. on reports that a car was stolen from a used car lot on Essex Avenue. According to police reports, a white 1999 Subaru was missing from the lot. Police have no suspects.
An 11-year-old girl with a laceration on her leg was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by Fire Department rescue squad at 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Fire and rescue personnel also transported a Gloucester woman injured in a fall at Gloucester Crossing at 4:25 p.m. after being.
There were no reported injuries in a two-car motor vehicle accident on Eastern Point Boulevard at 7:40 a.m. Friday.
