Editor's Note: This is a corrected version of this police report.

Due to incorrect information on a police log, the Gloucester police/fire report in Monday’s edition incorrectly identified a man arrested at a Stone Court incident on Sunday.  Glenn D. Reilly, 54, of 7 Stone Court, was arrested in the incident on a charge of assault and battery. A police report incorrectly stated that Edward J. Salah was arrested in the incident. He was never charged in conjunction with the incident. 

Arrests

Nestor Matute, 25, of 8 Fair St., turned himself in to police at 11:30 p.m. Friday on an outstanding warrant out of Salem District Court. Police did not specify the charge of the warrant.

Ilyass Rhim, 19, of 1126 Fells Way, Medford, was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of disorderly conduct.

Rhim was arrested at 2 a.m. Sunday after police were called to a Harvard Street home for the second time in an hour for a noise complaint. According to police reports, Rhim refused to quiet down.

Incidents

An unlocked motor vehicle on Veterans Way was entered sometime before 5 p.m. Friday. According to police reports nothing was missing from the vehicle but it was ransacked.

There were no reported injuries in a minor motor vehicle accident in the Stop & Shop parking lot on Thatcher Road at 7 p.m. Friday.

Police were called to Mystic Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Friday on reports of a domestic incident. When police arrived on scene they learned that it was just a verbal argument.

Police were called to Blyman Avenue at 10:00 p.m. on reports of a disturbance. When police arrived on scene a woman told them that an unknown girl approached her porch, spit on her and challenged her to a fight before leaving the scene. Police searched the area and did not find the suspect.

A Gloucester man refused medical attention after being involved in a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 128 South near exit 14 at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. According to police reports the vehicle hydroplaned due to the wet road surface and hit a guardrail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

A Prospect Street man reported to police at 8:05 a.m. Saturday that a bedroom dresser was stolen from his home sometime in the last week. According to police reports, the man was away and when he returned home he found a side window and screen had been damaged and his dresser missing. Police are investigating the incident.

A homeless Beverly man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 12:35 p.m. Saturday with undisclosed injuries after riding his bike into a vehicle on Main Street. According to police reports the man was riding the wrong way down Main Street when he collided with the vehicle, which was stopped because the driver saw the man on the bike riding straight at his car.

There were no reported injuries in a minor two-car motor vehicle accident on Church Street at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

Employees at a Main Street restaurant reported to police at 7 p.m. Saturday that they have been receiving harassing text messages from a recently fired employee. According to police reports the messages were not threatening and the employees wished not to press charges unless the messages kept coming.

A Washington Square woman reported to police at 9:50 p.m. Saturday that her purse was stolen. The woman told police she may have left the purse on top of her car while she was bringing her children into the house. Police have no suspects.

A fire hydrant and a street sign were struck by a motor vehicle sometime before 7:40 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival, police have no suspects.

Police were called to Skipper Way at 1 p.m. Sunday on reports of a man with a gun in the area. When police arrived, they found that it was just a group of young kids playing with squirt guns.
