Gloucester Police/Fire: Woman hit by pickup taken to hospital

Gloucester Police/Fire

A 46-year-old Commonwealth Avenue woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, after she reported to police that a pickup truck struck her as she was walking across the street by Tally’s Corner Wednesday about 12:30 p.m.

Police said the woman appeared to have injuries on her right arm and an abrasion near the tricep. Emergency personnel transported the woman to AGH, while police unsuccessfully searched for the black pick up truck that the woman said struck her.

Employees at Tally’s gas station said they did not witness the collision.

Police arrested Joseph P. Young, a 27-year-old Beach Street man, on two outstanding warrants after an officer recognized him walking on Prospect Street Wednesday about 8:36 p.m.
