My Place hosting benefit for Motif No. 1 event

ROCKPORT — One of Cape Ann's most prominent restaurants is taking a leading role today in raising money to support the activities of Rockport's annual Motif No. 1 Day, which is planned for this Saturday.

My Place By The Sea, located at the end of Bearskin Neck, will be hosting the fundraiser coordinated through The Inns of Rockport and the Rockport Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, according to Peter Webber, who heads up the chamber's Rockport division.

My Place owners Kathy Milbury and Barbara Stavropoulos have agreed to donated 20 percent of the restaurant's sales during both lunch and dinner on Wednesday to the Rockport Festivals Committee and the Chamber of Commerce. Diners on Wednesday can enjoy a luncheon from My Place's regular menu, or a "Tapas Time" dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m., from a special menu of $10 to $14 small plates that is being offered every Wednesday during the spring.

Anyone seeking further information may contact Suzan Galpin of the Inns of Rockport at 978-546-9251, or Peter Webber of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce at 978-283-1601.
