Gloucester Police/Fire: City man faces driving charge

A Gloucester man was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license Friday morning.

Jason Lane, 29, who had no address listed in the Gloucester Police report, was allegedly spotted driving down Rogers Street at 9:11 a.m. Friday. The car pulled into the parking lot of Walgreen's, and police followed lane inside, arrested him in the store.

A brush fire reported on Hesperus Avenue at 5:44 p.m. Thursday was extinguished by the Fire Department at 6:03 p.m. Thursday with no injuries.

A sink hole was reported on Thatcher Road at 8:41 a.m. Friday. The Department of Public Works was notified.
