ROCKPORT — A 68-year-old Illinois man was taken to the hospital after a local driver rear-ended his vehicle.
A 65-year-old Rockport man struck the Illinois man's car Thursday afternoon on Nugent Stretch of Route 127, police said.
Police said the Illinois man did not appear to be seriously injured, but was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester as a precautionary measure. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, according to police.
No criminal charges have been filed, according to police.
