Rockport Police/FireL Library, gallery alarms malfunction

ROCKPORT — Firefighters were called out twice within 24 hours for alarms.

The Fire Department responded to an alarm at a Main Street gallery Thursday about 1:10 p.m. Firefighters found the alarm was sounding faultily, according to police.

Then, about 3:25 a.m. Friday, police dispatched the Fire Department to the Rockport Public Library on School Street. Firefighters reported a smoke detector was sounding faultily.

A Bradley Wharf man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Thursday about 8:17 p.m.

A Woodbury Lane woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital on Friday about 10:30 a.m.
