MANCHESTER — A motor vehicle rolled over and hit a utility pole on Summer Street, near University Lane, at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency vehicles were dispatched; a woman was transported to Beverly Hospital.

National Grid was called to make repairs to the pole.

An elderly female resident living at The Plains was transported by ambulance to Addison Gilbert Hospital at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday.

At 11:14 a.m. Tuesday, fire responded to a false alarm on Summer Street.

At 5:54 p.m. Monday, the Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on Hidden Ledge Road. The fire was caused by cooking and was extinguished before they arrived. Responders helped ventilate the house, then left.
