GLOUCESTER — Sameh Y. Kinawy, 20, of 77 Centennial Ave., Gloucester, was sentenced to six months pretrial probation on assault and battery charges.
The charges against Kinawy stem from an August incident in which police said they saw Kinawy grab his girlfriend and pull her toward him during an argument on Prospect Street.
Edgar T. Reyes, 30, of 23 Shepard St., Gloucester, had assault and battery charges dismissed due to a failure to prosecute.
Reyes was arrested in July after his girlfriend alleged that he struck her in the arm during an argument.
