ROCKPORT — A strong odor of ammonia in a room at the Emerson Inn by the Sea was reported at 2:35 Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters investigating the scene determined the room's mini refrigerator was leaking ammonia refrigerant. The refrigerator was removed from the room.

Fire crews responded to a false alarm on South Street at 9:09 a.m. Wednesday.

Rescuers transported a Poole's Lane woman to Addison Gilbert Hospital at 9:23 Wednesday morning.
