'Come and Take It' from Community House

ROCKPORT — The Community House will soon be closed so building renovations can begin — and the groups using the building have been busy sorting, packing and finding storage for much that they and others have accumulated.

But there is still a long list of items — large and small — that need a good home, said Community House coordinator Gwen Stephenson.

Members of the various groups that use the town-owned building each year worked together with Stephenson to schedule a "Come and Take It" event at the building, on Broadway at Five Corners, this Saturday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Available goods range from large items like a refrigerator, tables and desks to small things like magazine racks and tableware.

People are invited to stop by, look around and take away anything they like, free of charge.
