Essex Police/Fire: Driver cited after Essex accident

Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — A driver was issued a citation following what police described as a fender bender on Main Street on Wednesday at about 10:12 a.m. The driver received the citation for following another driver too closely after the driver’s vehicle struck another vehicle from behind.

The driver struck the vehicle in front when the leading vehicle yielded for pedestrians at Main Street near Spring Street, police said.

No injuries resulted from the accident, and both vehicles involved were driven away.
