ROCKPORT — A burglar alarm was set off by contractors at a Granite Street residence at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Police received a report of a person stealing small decorative stones from Beach Street at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday.

Police spoke to the person and the stones were returned.

Protestors were reported in front of the post office on Broadway at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday. Police asked them to move off the sidewalk and to get a permit for future demonstrations.
