Rockport Police/Fire: No injuries in two-car accident

ROCKPORT — A two-car accident was reported at Millbrook Park at 12:07 p.m. Tuesday.

The drivers exchanged information, neither reported injuries and both were able to drive the cars away, police said.

A Phillips Avenue resident called police at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday to report that someone was in a nearby vacant house.

When police responded, they spoke to the intruder, who told police that a post on craigslist.com had asked for people to take away demolition debris. Police let the intruder go.

A phone wire was reported being down in the street on Whale Cove Road at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday. Verizon was notified and tended to the problem, police said.
