Free health screenings, food demonstrations and samples, a reiki clinic and much more will be on display Saturday at Addison Gilbert Hospital for the 17th annual Gloucester Health and Wellness & Expo.
The event, set to run from 9 a.m. to noon, is being hosted by the hospital in partnership with the city of Gloucester's Health Department.
The expo will ferature more than 60 exhibits in all, with giveaways, face painting and other features for children, a teddy bear clinic — with children encouraged to bring their teddy bears for a checkup — and chances to "ask the doctor" and "ask the physical therapist."
The event will also showcase smoking cessation programs, stress reduction, nutrition tips and more.
"It's going to be a great event, with a lot of opportunities for residents to talk about various health issues, such as diabetes, weight loss and blood pressure," said Northeast Health System spokeswoman Laura Wareck.
