Gloucester Police/Fire: City man charged in 3 court warrants

Gloucester Police/Fire

GLOUCESTER — A Gloucester man was arrested on three warrants after police were called for a report of an unwanted guest at Mason Street residence.

According to police, officers found 24-year-old Jeffery Carpenter of East Main Street asleep on a couch at the Mason Street residence Thursday just before 12:30 a.m.

The report states that Carpenter was intoxicated and had smelled of alcohol. Police said all three of Carpenter’s warrants were for failing to appear in court.

The police report also indicates that, while in custody around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Carpenter told police he was not feeling well and was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital, returning an hour later to await court proceedings.
