Essex Police/Fire: Police probe Pond Street vandalism

Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — Police responded to a report of vandalism on Pond Street Tuesday just before 2 p.m.

According to town police, a member of the Manchester Essex Conservation Trust called to report vandalism at one of the gates on Pond Street, saying it may have been caused by a blow torch.

Police said they had no time frame of when the incident may have happened, but they were investigating.

Police said a resident walked into the police station around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday to report that trash had been illegally left on a property on Cogswell Court. Police said, however, that the woman had no time frame of when the dumping occurred.

Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., police said a female was transported from Western Avenue to Beverly Hospital.
