Rockport Police/Fire: Distressed turtle freed by police

ROCKPORT — Police responded to a call alerting officers to a distressed turtle stuck in the eel ladder at Millbrook Meadow Pond, Wednesday just before 11 a.m.

Police said they were able to remove the turtle, which was released.

Wednesday at 10:23 a.m., police said a residential burglar alarm was accidentally set off by some contractors.
