ROCKPORT - Two 25- to 30-foot cables belonging to the MBTA were reported stolen from Station Square on Thursday night. Police said it is the fourth time cables have been stolen from the train station in the past few three months. They believe the cables are being stolen for their copper content.

* Firefighters responded to a carbon dioxide detector activated Thursday night at a residence on Granite Street; they were unable to find a problem and cleared the scene.Read this article in full with a
