Teen photo winners

Winners of the 2008 Sawyer Free Library Teen Photo Contest were announced at a reception Wednesday evening at the library.

The theme for this year was "What the ocean leaves behind." Prizes included frames and gift certificates donated by David Stotzer of Cape Ann Photography and Geno Mondello of Northlight Photo, who were judges along with Mike Dean, photographer at the Gloucester Daily Times. First place winner Joe Marino, 15, of Gloucester, won a day with Stotzer to experience a professional photo shoot. Thirty-one entries were received from almost 20 young Cape Ann photographers.
