Arrests

r After a brief foot chase through backyards on Chestnut Street, police arrested Nicholas Pappas, 24, of 27 Chestnut St. on Monday at 10:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a woman screaming at that address and a possible domestic assault.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they saw a woman running out of the house into the driveway with blood on her face. After entering the house, they chased Pappas through backyards before finding him back at the house in a closet in the basement.

The victim said Pappas had punched her and held her down on the floor by her hair.
