Letter: Ferrante a true advocate for the people

To the editor:

We are writing to urge readers to vote for Ann-Margaret Ferrante on Sept. 16 for state representative. We met Ann-Margaret many years ago when she was an intern for state Sen. Bruce Tarr. We worked with her as members of Gloucester United and the North Shore Seafood Coalition and found her to be a hard-working, tireless individual.

In the years since, Ann-Margaret has proven herself a true voice for the citizens of Gloucester. Never one to sit on the sidelines, she dives into causes with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness, however tough the issues may be.

The communities of Gloucester, Essex and Rockport are facing difficult matters; water and sewer rates on the rise, school funding in need of reform, the fishing industry, and business and economic needs are just some of them.

Ann-Margaret will be a true advocate for the people she will represent. She is a respected community leader and has the education and experience to get things done in Boston so that our towns will get the greatest benefit.

Please join us and vote for Ann-Margaret Ferrante on Sept. 16.
