Breast cancer group hosts speakers tonight

MANCHESTER — The Manchester-Essex chapter of Know Breast Cancer will have a meeting tonight to discuss what is causing elevated breast cancer rates in Manchester and Essex.

The meeting, at 7 p.m. at the Manchester Community Center, is open to the public and will feature two guest speakers.

Martha Dansdill, executive director of Healthlink, will speak about limiting pesticide spraying. Sam Levore, administrator for Toxics Action Forum, will speak about understanding the negative impacts of continuing pesticide spraying.

Know Breast Cancer is focused on helping individuals understand how to decrease their risk of breast cancer through prevention. More information about the organization can be found at www.knowbreastcancer.net.
