ESSEX — Police received a report of a dog bite at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday. A woman was walking down Lufkin Street when she said a boxer bit her on the leg. The animal control officer was notified and advised the woman to seek medical attention.

Police received a report of identity theft at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday.

There was a false fire alarm at the Blue Marlin restaurant on Eastern Avenue at 7:11 a.m. Thursday.
