Gloucester District Court

Bruce E. Salley, 37, of 8 Shore Ave., Beverly, was sentenced to 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to charges of driving without a license.

Salley, who had his license revoked in 2003, was cited by Essex police in October 2008 after he was spotted driving on Martin Street.

Patrick W. Wright, 48, of 95 Prospect St., Gloucester, was sentenced to one-year probation for charges of driving to endanger.

Wright was cited after an incident in December, when he was involved in a car accident on Essex Avenue in front of Mobile Mart. According to police reports, surveillance footage from the Mobile Mart shows Wright cutting off a van in his taxi while attempting to pull into the gas station, and being struck on the passenger's side.
