Donald K. Shatford Jr., 50, of 10 Dalton Ave., Gloucester, was handed a two-year suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to charges of heroin possession stemming from an August 2008 incident, and on charges of possession of Class B and Class E substances stemming from a September 2008 incident. Shatford will be on probation for three years.

Shatford was arrested in August after police observed him in an alleged drug deal near the Gloucester rail station. In September, Shatford was pulled over by Massachusetts State Police for drinking a beer while driving.

Christopher A. Spanks, 29, of 47 Maplewood Ave., Gloucester, had charges of felony breaking and entering, malicious destruction of property, and larceny dismissed due to a failure to prosecute. The charges against Spanks stem from a May 25 incident in which he allegedly broke into his estranged wife's home.

Maria Todd, 21, of 55 Washington St., Ipswich, had two counts of violating a restraining order continued without a finding for six months. The charges against Todd stem from a January incident in which she allegedly violated a restraining order by contacting an ex-boyfriend.

Rosalie A. Consiglio, 19, of 578 Western Ave., Gloucester, had charges of drunken driving and being a minor in possession of alcohol charges continued without a finding for 18 months. Consiglio was also ordered to pay $600 in court costs. Consiglio was arrested in March after she drove her car into a telephone pole on Western Avenue.

Kevin Nolan, 18, of 16 Washington Square, Gloucester, had charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol dismissed, pending his payment of $50 in court costs. Nolan was arrested late Thursday night after police observed him carrying a bottle of vodka while walking down Grove Street.

Christopher Danjou, 24, of 16 Harrison Ave., Gloucester, had disorderly conduct charges dismissed so long as he pays $150 in court costs. Danjou was arrested early Thursday morning when police responded to a fight in the middle of Main Street.

Paul A. Peterson, 18, of 7 Veterans Way, had disorderly conduct charges dismissed, pending his payment of $200 in court costs. Peterson was arrested early yesterday morning for returning to the St. Peter's Fiesta area after police told him to leave after seeing him starting a fight.
