Gloucester Police/Fire: Lost wheel triggers 4-car crash

A driver crashed into three parked cars on Washington Street Tuesday after a wheel apparently fell off his truck at 3:24 p.m.

When police arrived, they found the truck on the curb, and three parked, heavily damaged vehicles nearby. The driver said he was heading downtown on Washington Street when the passenger’s side front wheel fell off his car near the Oak Grove Cemetery.

All cars save one that the man’s vehicle struck were towed from the scene. No charges were filed and there were no injuries, police said.

Police charged two women after a fight on Pleasant Street Tuesday at 7:43 p.m.

Officers responded to the residence after receiving a call of a woman who said she had been forced to drink alcohol and needed medical help.

Police found the woman, Kristin Teheen, 32, of 109 Pleasant St., crying inside. She said her neighbor, Sasha Bradstreet, 31 of 106 Pleasant St., had forced her to drink something and then pushed her down the stairs.

Police then spoke with Bradstreet, who appeared injured from a fight. She said they fought after an argument about her boyfriend. They had drinks before that.

Officers charged both with assault and battery.

A Washington Square man told police that another man was trying to start a fight with him at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday.

He said the man had been following him trying to provoke an altercation. He told police he was afraid the man had a knife on him.

Police told the man to call if the other man continues to be a problem.

Addison Gilbert Hospital security called police after a man allegedly threatened to kill hospital staff Tuesday at 3:08 p.m.

A security officer told police the man started yelling at hospital staffers when they removed him from a cancer treatment group session after he made inappropriate comments. They said the man threatened staff on his way out.

Hospital officials did not press charges, but said they would seek a restraining order
