---- — ROCKPORT — Officers issued multiple citations for drivers who were following Rockport school buses too closely Wednesday morning and afternoon, as part of a statewide effort through the Registry of Motor Vehicles to promote school bus safety, according to police.
Following a bus too closely means driving within 100 feet, or two bus lengths, of the bus’s bumper, and the violation comes with a $35 fine, according to police.
