Essex Police/Fire:Beverly woman facing drunken driving charge

ESSEX — A Beverly woman was arrested Thursday at 10:50 p.m. after a marked lanes violation on Western Avenue.

Pamela Kelley, 58 of Frankwood Ave. faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and the marked lanes violation.

Friday just after midnight, police stopped a Gloucester man near Centennial Grove Park; as a result he was given a civil citation for marijuana possession.

A burglar alarm sounded on John Wise Avenue around 5 p.m. Thursday. When police arrived they spoke with the caretaker, who said everything was fine.

A report of a construction truck accidentally hitting a mailbox on Choate Street was received Friday at 9 p.m. Police said the construction worker and the mailbox’s owner were working out the problem.
