Essex Police/Fire: Intoxicated resident taken to AGH

ESSEX — Police received a walk-in report of an intoxicated resident Wednesday around 7 p.m.

Police said they spoke with a Winthrop Street resident and daughter. Police said the daughter was taken to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester for an evaluation.

Police said there were no signs of alcohol poisoning.

Police said Friday a false fire alarm sounded off at 10 a.m. on John Wise Avenue.

On Wednesday, just after 1:30 p.m., a Western Avenue man was transported to Beverly Hospital.

Later, just before 7 p.m. Wednesday, a Story Street woman was transported to the same hospital.
