Police arrested Cyanne Cardoza, charging the 44-year-old woman with domestic assault and battery, after the woman allegedly attacked a 17-year-old woman at her Perkins Street home over the weekend. Officers reported observing scratch marks on the younger woman’s face and neck, and though Cardoza told officers the younger woman had inflicted the scratches on herself, police said the cuts did not appear to have been self-inflicted.
When a woman reported that a neighbor had yelled at her 5-year-old son as he played in Willowood Park Monday, police responded and cleared up the situation.
The 55-year-old man told police he had just cleaned the area where the 5-year-old boy and his friends were playing and the man said he had seen broken glass on the ground. He agreed with police that swearing and yelling at the children had probably not been the best way to deal with the situation.
The man and police visited the boy’s mother, and the man apologized. She also saw the glass in the field and was satisfied with the outcome of the situation, police said.
