Citizens' group hosts Manchester forum

MANCHESTER — A local citizens’ group is organizing a candidates’ night planned for Tuesday, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 113.

All candidates and elected officials from the town of Manchester and residents from Essex are invited to the forum.

The forum will spotlight the candidates for the two open seats for the Board of Selectmen — Eli Bowling, Ann Harrison, and Robert Hoff.

All candidates and elected officials are also invited to a reception that will run from 6 to 7 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

The event is designed to give voters the opportunity to meet the candidates.

The moderator for the evening will be Betsy Kross, and each candidate will be allowed an opening statement. Before questions from the audience, three citizen representatives will begin the questioning.

The forum leads into the town’s election on May 21.
