Manchester Police/Fire: Stove fire extinguished

---- — ESSEX — Police and firefighters responded to a report of a fire at an Island Road residence just after 7 p.m.

The stove fire was extinguished before police arrived.

An erratic operator was reported Thursday around 10 p.m. on Western Avenue heading toward Hamilton. Officers who searched the area, however, but could not find the vehicle and notified Hamilton police.

Thursday around 12:30 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm sounding off at a Tree Hill residence, police said the area was secure.

A false fire alarm sounded just before 1 p.m. Thursday at a Western Avenue business.

A third false alarm was reported Friday morning just after 1:30 at a Western Avenue residence.

Friday morning, just before 9 a.m., police received reports of a dog in the middle of Main Street near Woodman’s.

Shortly after, around 10 a.m., police received another report of a dog loose in the same area and recovered the dog, who was unharmed.
