Marblehead resident facing multiple charges

ROCKPORT — After receiving a 911 call about a loud crash on Pleasant Street, police arrested Nicholas Doyle-Elwell, 22 of Marblehead at 1:38 a.m. Saturday on charges of operating to endanger, operating under the influence of alcohol and failure to keep to the right.

According to police, Doyle-Elwell crossed over into the wrong lane where he hit the curb, damaging his car tires. He was released on a personal recognizance bail and was arraigned Monday at Gloucester District Court.

Police are seeking a criminal complaint after a motor vehicle stop on Sandy Bay Terrace at 10:32 a.m. on Saturday.

Police recognized 28-year-old Jennifer Jones of Rockport driving near Sandy Bay Estates, and after checking her license plate, sought a complaint for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Her car was towed.

At 10:15 p.m. on Friday, there were reports of teenagers arguing in the middle of Granite Street. Police did not find anyone when they arrived.

Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, there was a noise complaint about a party on Railroad Avenue. Police dispersed people at the scene.

Police and firefighters received several medical calls in the past few days.

At 4:15 p.m. on Friday, a male Bradley Wharf resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital, while a female Forrest Street resident was transported to AGH Friday at 9:15 p.m.

Downed wires were reported on Granite Street at 8:42 a.m. Sunday; police notified National Grid, which responded to the scene and made the needed repairs.

At 6:15 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a burglar alarm at Rockport High School. When they arrived, they found the building secure.

On Monday at 11:22 a.m., a carbon monoxide detector went off at a Gott Street residence. Police said no carbon monoxide readings were found.
