---- — GLOUCESTER — Police took a report Monday alleging that a package worth about $190 was stolen from a Perkins Street woman’s home in late November.

Police said the package, shipped by UPS, contained women’s clothing. No further information was available Tuesday.

Steven J. Caraway, 55, of Gould Court, was arrested on another charge Monday at 1:52 p.m. after he was initially stopped on a traffic violation on Washington Street, police said. No further information was available Tuesday.

Police warned a small group of adults to stop skating on Niles Pond because the ice is unsafe.

The skaters agreed to leave the ice Monday about 4:01 p.m., according to police.

A Taylor Street resident reported a neighbor banging on the house from the second floor window of his own home on Friend Street Monday about 9:34 p.m.

Police went to the scene and noted that some siding on the house appeared to be out of place, according to police. But when officers spoke to the neighbor, he denied banging on the house, saying only that the Taylor Street residents play music loudly at all hours, according to the police report.

Police advised the Friend Street resident to call police if there is an issue with music again.
